Cygnet was established in 1988. Since then we have developed a wide range of services for individuals with mental health needs and Personality Disorder within the UK. We have built a reputation for delivering pioneering services and outstanding outcomes for the people in our care.

Our expert and highly dedicated care team of 8800 employees empower 3000 individuals across 140 services to consistently make a positive difference to their lives, through service-user focused care and rehabilitation.

Cygnet Hospital Bury:

Cygnet Hospital Bury provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and CAMHS provision for adolescents.

Primrose Ward:

Primrose Ward is our CAMHS PICU ward for young people aged between 12 and 18. The service provides for young people primarily referred from CAMHS acute services who, in the context of a severe mental illness, exhibit a high level of risk that cannot be safely managed in a CAMHS general adolescent unit, and where the level of risk is not of a persistent nature that would require longer term care in a secure environment.

If you want to make a difference and ensure people can achieve their goals and get the most out of life, then please read on...

Due to a recent expansion in our services we are seeking a Qualified Psychologist for the CAMHS ward or a preceptorship Psychologist due to qualify within 6 months.

The post holder will also have a clinical case load and be expected to work systemically with staff as well as directly with clients. You will provide consultation about the psychological care of the client group to staff, families and other agencies.

Within the multi-disciplinary team setting you will be expected to offer psychological insight and knowledge, whilst supporting the clinical, nursing and direct care teams in making skilled evaluations and decisions about risk and promoting psychologically informed environments.

  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank holidays
  • Fully paid training
  • Paid DBS
