We are looking for a motivated Clinical Team Leader (RMN/RNLD) with a passion for delivering the best quality of care, to drive change, improve practice and be part of a hospital wide quality improvement project.

Salary: £19.12 per hour (£38,278.24 per annum) + enhancements

Hours: up to full time (38.5 hours per week - unsocial hours)

If you are a Nurse with 2 years post qualification experience or the ability to evidence leadership skills including support of junior staff and involvement in quality improvement initiatives, we want to talk to you!

A Clinical Team Leader is required to provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team and the ward. As a leader you will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis whilst supporting the ward manager with:

  • Quality improvement including regular audit and assurance checks
  • Ensuring high standards of care are provided to our most vulnerable patients,
  • Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Involvement in goal setting/targets for the team, service and hospital
  • Delegating tasks and set deadlines for your internal team

At Cygnet Hospital Wyke, we will support you to develop your skills and professionally grow which includes the opportunity to work across wards including rehabilitation and acute services to ensure you develop to your full potential. Our preceptorship programme includes:

  • Comprehensive induction and orientation
  • Individual/group clinical supervision and reflective practice
  • Practical skills sessions e.g. assessing and managing clinical risks
  • Leadership training e.g. managing a shift, dealing with conflict
  • Personal wellbeing and building resilience

Working closely with local universities, we are building a culture of clinical excellence with opportunities to undertake research in practice and evaluate latest evidence based interventions.

Enhancement rates:

  • 10% of basic salary for night shifts 
  • 20% of basic salary for weekend shifts
  • 30% of basic rate for nights on the weekend
