Training Manager (Maternity cover for up to 12 months)

We are looking for a highly organised, motivated and dynamic individual to work within the Cygnet Learning and Development Team as a Training Manager.

The opportunity

As Training Manager, you will work as part of a skilled team, committed to turning every challenge into a positive outcome.

Your key objectives will be:

  • To source, develop and review training courses appropriate to maintain a programme of legislative, mandatory and developmental training.
  • To manage the delivery of learning and development, maintaining schedules of training and contributing to the training strategy of the organisation.
  • To support Cygnet services to achieve KPI’s and maintain a well-trained and competent workforce’

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an individual who performs well under pressure whilst maintaining a high standard of work at all times.  You should be proactive in your approach to work, enthusiastic and driven with excellent time management skills.  

Successful candidates would need to have outstanding organisational and communication skills and be able to work flexibly in relation to tasks undertaken.  

You will be a strong team player, confident and motivated and well organised.  Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you’ll be someone with a genuine desire to work within the Learning and Development Function.  

You will have a good working knowledge of National Minimum Standards, CQC and legislation applying to the wider adult care sector.  You will also have excellent knowledge of learning and development specific to hospitals and residential services, including mental health, learning disability, autism and secure services.

Full UK driving license and access to a car is essential for this role as you will be required to travel between sites.

Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience

Contract: Full time

Location: National Role (Central office - Birmingham)
