Your Role

Service Line: Mental Health Adults

Summary of the site

Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides support across two service lines: Adults requiring acute in-patient services, and a service for men with dual diagnosis of Mental Illness and Autism.

Clinical: You would be responsible for the assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction for 10 patients on the Springs Wing which is an open rehabilitation ward for men with a dual diagnosis of Mental Illness and Autism.  Cygnet Harrow benefits from a full multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapy, psychology, psychiatry, nursing and support staff.

Leadership: As the Head of Department, you will provide innovative leadership and management over the OT service, which comprises 3 occupational therapists and 4 support staff including assistants and activity coordinators. 

The hospital places a high emphasis on the use of sensory integration, for which you will receive funding and support to further your qualifications in this area of specialism. 

Occupational Therapy Directorate

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.

Requirements
