You will be working full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please note this role does carry the responsibility of on-call duties as and when required in support of the Service.

Tabley House:

Tabley House Nursing Home is located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside in acres of parklands. The service is set within a stunning 18th century country house.

Tabley House Nursing Home, which is rated Good by the CQC and listed as number one Care Home for the North West in carehome.co.uk, is located on the outskirts of Knutsford in Cheshire.

It’s difficult to put into words the care and support offered at Tabley House. There’s warmth all around – from the friendly welcome as you arrive, to the nursing and care staff looking after your every need, to our unique and individual bedrooms. There’s nowhere quite like Tabley House Nursing Home.

A fine Palladian house designed by John Carr of York, built in 1761 for the Leicester family, who lived at Tabley for 700 years.

The 1st collection of English paintings ever made hang in the rooms for which they were created. Artists represented include Lely, Turner, Lawrence and other English masters. Furniture by Gillow, Bullock and Chippendale. Includes a 17th century chapel which was moved from an island in 1927 due to brine pumping and re-erected adjacent to the house.

A TV and film location for various productions, most recent credits include Peaky Blinders, The Black Prince, Antiques Roadtrip, The Forsyth Saga and Flog it!

The Role:

In this role you will provide effective leadership to the service and will be a role model to your staff team. Your main focus would be to ensure the team provides safe, sound and supportive care to the people they support.

Working with the multi-disciplinary teams, family members, local authorities and regulatory bodies, you will have overall responsibility and accountability for the delivery of a high-quality service and promoting a positive culture.

As an ambassador for your service, you will provide leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring each individual plays their part in promoting choice and independence for the people they support. Ultimately you will meet targets set out in our Quality Strategy, which will ensure your service is providing the best quality support and care possible.

So what qualifications and attributes do you need?

  • Managerial experience of leading a team.
  • Extensive experience of leading a large service/home
  • The ability to work as part of a team; lead by example, manage performance effectively and use own initiative
  • Experience of working to CQC guidelines, relevant legislation and professional regulations
  • Experience undertaking investigations and/or the ability to manage complaints appropriately and in a confidential manner
  • Desirable: Qualifications in Leadership & Management 
  • Desirable: A Nurse Qualification with valid pin – RNLD (Registered Learning Disability Nurse) / RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) / RGN (Registered General Nurse)
