We currently have an opportunity for a part time (22.5 hours per week) Safeguarding Administrator working in the Central Safeguarding Team. This is a rewarding and varied administrative role in which you will be providing administrative support to the Head of Safeguarding and Named Professionals. Remote working and flexible working hours are supported, including a term-time only contract if required.

The team actively works to safeguard and protect vulnerable Adults and children. You will be expected to work within a highly confidential environment and adhere to Cygnet’s policies and guidance.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be confident in their ability to work within a team which deals with highly emotive and sometimes highly distressing information and situations. The ability to use own initiative and be self-motivated is required, but more importantly the ability to work within a team is essential. Organisational skills are important to the smooth running of the team, and the successful applicant will need to be able to manage and identify priorities.

You should have outstanding administrative skills as well as having knowledge and experience of data inputting, report preparation and handling data. You must have excellent minute taking skills (preferably to management meeting level), a good eye for detail, time management skills and be able to maintain high levels of speed and accuracy whilst managing competing priorities. 

Experience of working within a health and/social care environment, of using Microsoft applications, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is essential.
