As part of Cygnet’s commitment to safeguarding the Central Safeguarding Team is expanding, creating a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced specialist practitioner with in-depth knowledge of safeguarding across the lifespan to take on the position of Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults, Children and Transition (including Looked after Children). As part of the central safeguarding team the individual will report into the Head of Safeguarding and work alongside the Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults and Children, the central team is further supported by a Safeguarding Administrator.

The Named Nurse will work across the organisation to support colleagues and Safeguarding Leads with safeguarding adults as well as providing expert advice to Safeguarding Leads in the inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health services (CAMHS).

The role incorporates ‘Transition’, supporting colleagues to be cognisant of, and plan for the risks associated with transitional safeguarding. This national role is an opportunity to support colleagues working across a wide variety of mental health services, remote working and flexible working hours are supported.
